Our Fun Times

Ok, I promised a few more pictures of our fun time at the beach.  I thought I better get these posted because school starts tomorrow.  Yikes!  I am still on "Turtle Time".  A term used frequently at BHI.

Up First.....
Is my guy.  He is hanging out on the beach until he sees......

a crab.  He grabs the green bucket and literally chases a crab down the beach.  We were all laughing and the kids were screaming "Get it Daddy."

He got it!

The kids loved it.  Bailey wanted to keep it for a pet.  We did the right thing and let it go.

Next up is...
Tye Dye T-Shirts.  We had our first experience of tye dye.  I am not sure if I would want to try this at home but it was fun.  The pool has a craft for the kids every day.  Tye Dye is scheduled for every Thursday.  Bailey enjoyed picking out the colors but did not want anything to do with getting her hands dirty.  We decided the next week we would make the cousins all a t-shirt.  Bailey surprised me and did the dipping and everything.  Of course with gloves.  I got these pictures the first time but did not have my camera the second time.  I know...what was I thinking when I left the house without the camera.

Next....
the kids having lots of fun on the beach.

Keenan needed a snack after all that work.  He was all about the snack and his beach chair.

It truly was a wonderful trip.  It brought so much joy to just be with my kids and hubby and no other distractions.  The big decisions were what time are we going to the beach and what kind of ice cream do we want.  It was very refreshing.

I am not quite ready to kick off my flip flops but school starts in the morning.  I better get to bed.  I hope everyone has a blessed day.

A few smiles

Wow, 2 weeks of no cell phone and internet connection!!!  It can do wonders.  We just had 2 amazing weeks of nothing but family time and relaxation.  I can't wait to share more pictures with you.  Pictures of Bailey designing her first tye dye (tye tye as Keenan calls it) shirt, Keenan relaxing in his beach chair and Scott catching a crab will be on the list to share.  For right now, I am going to post these black and white ones.  Yes, B&W....my favorite!

We went to an oyster roast while we were at the beach.  So while Scott was enjoying the steamed oysters, I shot some pictures of the kids running around in a grassy area.  I had fun taking the pictures but later regretted that I did not chow down on the oysters.  I do love steamed oysters.  Crack it open, slide it on a cracker and put some cocktail sauce.  Yum.  I wished I had gotten some pictures of the setup.  They had large wooden tables that they shoveled the oysters on to.  No plates or anything.  You just ate right off the table.  However, I was a little shy about taking pictures of people I did not know.  It was a fun night.

Glad to be home.

The Differences

There are many differences between the two.  This being one.
These pictures were taken after the kids enjoyed a bag of Cheetos (a rare thing).

Need I say more?

Wanna Go For A Swim?

Grab your towel because we are about to get wet.  Our brave little girl is no longer on the side of the pool.  In fact, she is in the deep in with her life jacket on.  Her legs are kicking and her arms are going.  She is not screaming.  She is smiling from ear to ear.  She just finished 2 weeks of swim lessons.

We celebrated with a game of air hockey.

See you at the pool.  Oh yea, we will be a the big pool this summer.  The days of mommy hanging out on the side of the baby pool are long gone.

Perfect For Me

We are not perfect but we are perfect for each other!!
This is one of our favorite sayings to each other.  I am definitely not perfect and very thankful the big guy in the house accepts my imperfections.  As much as I would like to say that my husband is perfect, he does have a few....just a few, slight, small...going easy here....faults.  Just like all of us!  With God's grace, we strengthen each other.
Tomorrow will be 11 years since my honey and I walked down the aisle.
He is not only perfect for me but perfect for our kids.  He is the rock in our family.

Happy Anniversary!! Don't work too hard today and we will celebrate next week.
Love you,
Pumpkin Boo Wife Mommy
(now everyone knows your name for me)

Another Page and On To Georgia Visit

You don't have to wait until next week to see more pages!!  Aren't you excited?  I figured out the template.  It was rainy here yesterday morning so it gave me a great excuse to lounge around and play with the templates.  Now back to the fun we recently had in Georgia.

We tease my mom about her "visualizations".  She is always visualizing what it would be like to do..... (fill in the blank).  Since the kids were babies, my mom has always talked about taking them downtown and going to the Fox Theatre.  The Fox Theatre brings back lots of memories.  Mom took me there to see my first musical, Annie.  I LOVED Annie.  Maybe it was her hair that I loved so much.  I can remember the night we went to see the musical.  My mom dressed me up in a dress of course.  I don't think I wore pants until I was in the second grade.  It was so exciting.  I went to a few things at the Fox growing up.  I also had my senior prom in the Egyptian Ballroom at the Fox.  We were all dolled up that night.  Big hair and big dresses!  Lots of fun memories.

While the kids and I were in Georgia, we went to see Thomas the Train at the Fox.  My mom LOVED the whole idea of taking the kids downtown.  The kids loved Thomas!  They were precious singing the songs.  As Thomas and the gang were doing there last song, Keenan was waving good bye.  I look over and my mom has tears rolling down her face.  She was brought to tears seeing her grandchildren at the Fox.  Now that is memorable!

You can't go downtown without eating at the Varsity.  Another Atlanta landmark.  I don't think it is the food that makes it great.  The experience is worth fat grams.  Chili dogs and GREASY onion rings are delicious but it is fun to watch the people who work there.  Many of the men have been there forever and you better know what you want when you walk up to the counter.  No time to be wishy washy.

It was a fun afternoon.  Now mom can mark that off her list of things to do with the kids.
So if you are in Atlanta, run by the Varsity and order a chili dog and onion rings.
