Through their eyes

Saturday we went to feed the ducks/geese.  B was excited about going and she did not even eat the bread like she has in the past.  K was about to jump out of his stroller to get closer.

It is such a blessing to see God's creation through the eyes of a child.  B loved looking at each little flower on the path, listening to the sounds of the geese far away and asking a million questions..."mommy, what's that?, what's this?, etc..  K just loved playing in the pine straw and dirt...rubbing his hands all through it.  I need to take more time to just slow down and enjoy God's creation.

Doors

K loves playing with doors lately.  Opening and closing them.  He can sit there and totally entertain himself with a door.  So this is just a little glimpse of an ordinary day with K!  Sending lots of hugs and kisses.

My Prayer

I love this picture of B and K reaching for each other.  They were swinging when I took the picture.
One of the greatest joys is watching them interact with each other and seeing how much they love each other.  So my prayer for them is that they will always love each other like this and reach for each other throughout their life.

New At this

I have been wanting to create a blog page to share our ordinary days of our family.  I hope you enjoy the entries, get some good laughs, and feel inspired once in a while.
Lately, I have been taking the kids on "Mystery Rides".  This means we are going somewhere but mommy does not know exactly where we are going.  I pack the camera, some candy (to be used as bribes), toys and we go find a location to take some pictures.  Our mystery ride last week was to Umstead Park.  It was a great morning of "simple" fun.  The park was very quiet and gave me a chance to have fun with the kids and of course take some pictures.  Today, K and I picked B up from school and we headed for an old barn.  Thanks to my friend Ginger who suggested the location.  We get there, camera and candy in hand and the first thing B says is I have to go potty.  And being the mommy that I am, I say "Oh honey, can you squat and go behind the barn".  That goes back to my North Ga. Days.  And being the child she is, she says, "No Mommy, I need to go on the potty".  So I only got a few pictures but it gave me lots of ideas.  It just reminded me that no matter how much I think I have a plan/scheme, God always has a different one.
