Another Fun Beach Trip

Just a few of my favorite beach pictures.  I love pictures of the kids in their clothes on the beach instead of their bathing suits.  This little walkway to the beach made a great area to take pictures.  I took pictures of the family coming and going.
B was totally entertained by her cousins.  And K...well K was a little cranky.  His molars are coming in.  B warmed up to the beach and they loved playing in the "pools" of water.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

The girls on the walkway

Another picture of the walkway.  Not sure why I like this so much but I do!
Sweet picture!

K loved watching the birds fly around the birdhouse.  He loved pointing at them.

Our Ordinary Day

Did I mention that Keenan is at the table with us?  We have lots of work to do before his first date.
Enjoying his breakfast
Always leaves a clean plate!
So thirsty!

"Snow White" (notice the clothing) enjoyed painting all morning.  Her artwork is transforming!  She use to scribble paint all over the page.  Well today, I look over and she has painted each picture on the page.
So of course, we had to display them all over the windows.  These are 2 of the paintings she did.  Her artwork will be displayed in the exhibit room for the next several weeks.  Admission is free!  Just let her know if you would like to commission her to do a painting for your home.

Hope you enjoy the music

I figured out how to add a playlist!  I will have to say that I am pretty proud of myself.  Hope you enjoy the music.  The first 2 songs on the playlist are by an artisit, Elizabeth Mitchell.  I love her children's music.  If you have small kids and get tired of the same kids music, check her out.  I have really enjoyed her CD.  Fun for kids and adults.
And I had to add Carolina in My Mind by James Taylor on the playlist.  You Are My Sunshine is a family favorite.

He's growing up fast!

Little man is growing up fast!
Just a few pics from the past several days.

Keenan in his usual place...contained in the stroller!

He loves feeding himself.  I don't know how I am going to keep him fed when he is 16.  I am already having a hard time with his bottomless pit.
He even gets to sit at the table with the rest of us!

Just a sweet picture of my little guy.

Ok, I just realized I take mostly headshots.  Need to practice taking different pictures!
Lots to learn but still having fun with the camera.

Blog Help

I am trying to add a music playlist on my blog.  Does anyone know how to do it?  I have seen it on other blogs.

Feels like home

Do you have those moments when you look at your children in your home and you think, "Ahh, this just feels like home?"  I love those moments!  It brings me back to my childhood when I would love sitting in my bright yellow bean bag chair (with knee socks on so our kitten would not scratch me...another story) watching my favorite tv shows such as The Facts of Life.  Anyway, I had one of those moments today.  The kids played so well today.  They had so much fun with each other.  I did some late spring cleaning while they played, stopping here and there to play with them.  Scott got home early.  While he and Keenan took naps, Bailey and I went to the pet store.  We came home and she crashed on the couch watching a movie.  She did not get much rest during her "quiet time" because she was singing the whole time!  It was really cute.  So back to the moment when I thought "Ahh, this just feels like home".  I look over at her on the couch asleep and thought "now that is home". Just had to share my moment with you.  Another ordinary day in the Garrison family.  Have a great weekend.

Ride "Em Cowgirl!

A few weeks ago we inherited the rocky horse that Scott had when he was a little boy.  According to Scott's mom, he would ride it until he fell asleep on it.  The horse has been at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's but they decided it would get more use living with us.  Well they were absolutely right.  The kids ride it everyday.  So I decided to take it outside and of course we needed a hat to go with it.  I did not get any photos of Keenan on it because I could not hold him and take a picture.  But once he starts holding on there will be plenty of pictures.  Not sure what Keenan is doing in this picture.  He is either trying to be a horse or the grass was really itchy.
