Egg Hunt and Spring Festival

The kid's school had their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.  This year went much better than last year.  Last year, the chick-fil-a cow was there and Bailey was terrified.  This year no cow.  And it was so sweet because she was asking lots of questions about Jesus and Easter and heaven.  It is hard to explain to a 4 year old when she ask if Jesus was going to be at the egg hunt.  Question after question she asked, which I am so thankful that she is asking the questions.
So this was Keenan's first experience hunting eggs.  Once he caught on that there was candy in the eggs, he was on a mission.

He was having so much fun.

And Bailey was relaxed knowing that there was no chick-fil-a cow.  Last year, these pictures were of her screaming.

Treats for everyone!

Keenan in the bounce house.  He was grinning from ear to ear.  And screamed when his turn was up.  One of the young helpers had to go in and get him because he would not come out.  Always a proud moment when your kid is the one screaming. :)

And Bailey showed us her strength.  I just have to say, I really did not think she was going to be able to do this.  She said, "Mommy, let me try."  So I said go for it.  She is just not usually the athletic one....just like her mommy.  Anyway, she had to pull and I mean pull herself up using this rope.  The picture does not really show what she had to do.  But by golly she did it.  Scott and I were screaming, "Go Bailey Go."  I know the other parents probably thought "What is the deal with those two."  But she surprised us both.  She was so proud of herself.

Once she got to the top she got to slide down.  She loved it.  You go girl!

It was a fun family day.  The kids had so much fun.  Bailey got in the car and said "This day has been a special day."  That will make tears come to a mommy's eyes.

Happy Easter

Jesus Has Risen!
What a wonderful day it was.  We started off Easter morning with Easter baskets and then headed to church.  I was able to get a few shots of the kids before we went to church.  I had to work quick because they were wearing all white.  I wasn't too worried about Bailey getting dirty but Keenan is a magnet for dirt...just like all little boys.
Finding Easter baskets on the front porch.

I will say this morning, the photos were all about Keenan.  He was just looking too cute in his outfit....thanks to my friend Christy!  She sends me the most adorable clothes out of her kids closets.  It is very rare that Keenan is dressed up so I had to take full advantage.

This is Keenan attempting to go in the backyard where the slide is and "MUD".  And I am talking mud.  We have somewhat a drainage issue around the slide.  Anyway, back to the pictures.....He is pointing and wanting to go back there.  Mommy's eyes got big accompanied by a big fat NO.

Ok, this is my favorite picture.  They look so sweet.  However, I did not post the next picture showing Bailey pulling Keenan  and him screeming.  Oh well, one sweet moment in time.

My honey even took a picture!

Ready for Church

Ready for church!  Last Sunday I was able to snap a few shots before church.
The kids love going to church.  Bailey loves Mr. Brian!  And Keenan loves "Mrs. Armen (Carmen)".  Their teachers are so sweet and always welcome them with a big smile.

From One Extreme to the Other

The kids and I have enjoyed being outside the past few days.  On Friday, we took advantage of the warmer weather.  We spent the morning feeding the ducks and playing at the park.

Bailey is finishing off the crackers that were suppose to be for the ducks.
Keenan is just happy to be out of the stroller.

Twist and Turn...there she goes again down the tunnel slide.

I hope they are always friends like this.  They love doing things together.  They truly balance each other out as siblings.

There was a girl at the park who enjoyed talking camera stuff.  She offered to take our picture.  What a special treat because mommy is usually behind the camera.

So we went from the park on Friday to snow on Monday!

Bailey's snow girl ("not man, mommy.  it is a girl").

Not really a girly picture but she was trying to catch the snow on her tongue.

Keenan having lots of fun running in the snow.

Who would have thought the kids would get to enjoy the snow twice this winter!

So we have gone from not even wearing a jacket to bundling up with layers.  The weather the past few days has reminded me of my spiritual walk at times.  I can go from one extreme to the other...depending on the Lord in my day to day to trying to control everything myself.    Thankfully, Christ is loving and is always with me.

Enjoy your days!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day and is with someone you love.

The kids have enjoyed their week of Valentine festivities.  They had a trip to Target to pick out their Valentine cards.  Keenan picked out Pooh for his friends at school and Bailey picked out Princess and Spiderman (she did not think the boys would like princess cards.) for her school friends.  Bailey sat at the table ALL day and worked on her cards, writing each name.  I would spell them for her and she would write.  LONG PROCESS!!  But she did it with such a happy heart.  And today, Keenan was all about giving kisses.  It was so cute. He just started giving Bailey and I kisses.  It got out of hand a little so I even had to say "Go kiss Elmo" or "Ok, I think that's enough kisses."  It should be interesting when he is 16!

Bailey had her school party today.  We did several crafts and had some yummy snacks.  She passed out all her cards and I raided her treat bag during nap time. Don't tell!!!  And whatever happened to giving just cards?  Now it is all about treats.  I would love to be a dentist in this town.  But like I said I enjoyed the treats too.  Keenan had a cold yesterday so he missed his Valentine's party.  I was sad that he would not get to enjoy little cupcakes with his friends.

Sending hugs and kisses your way.

A Fun Friday

Last Friday was a full day.  It started off saying bye to my mom.  There were lots of tears.  It was such a blessing to have her here and to be able to take care of her.  God taught me so much through the 7 weeks that she was here.  He is always faithful.  It is amazing how He turns something that could be stressful into a blessing.  We had lots of tears and laughs while she was here.  As much as we were all ready to get back to our normal routines, it was hard saying goodbye.

So of course my pictures are out of order.  Why did Blogger have to get confusing. Don't they know that moms blog late at night and our brains are not functioning after taking care of 2 little ones all day.  Don't they know that this is our outlet and it would be much better to make it easy for us.  Oh yea...back to our Friday.  And please just deal with my out of order pictures.

This is the side of Keenan I am seeing the most these days.  His latest little "game" is running from me when I call him.  I hear that it is a boy thing but it is not funny in a restaurant.  I was in a full sprint today chasing him in a restaurant.  Scott took him out of the highchair for us to get ready to leave and he takes off.  And I mean takes off.  So we have some lessons to learn in our future....near future that is.

And Big Sis loving the slide.  Who would have thought?  I can remember the day when she would not even think about getting on the slide.  I am loving it!

Ok, these should have come before the park pics.  The kids had an art show at school.  It is really cute.  The school sets up tables in the gym and display the kids artwork.  So this picture is Keenan's little hands made into a snowflake.  What a cute idea.  He was so proud.

Ok, like I said..the pics are all out of order.
Can you say peek-a-boo. Guess who?

Back to the Art Show....This was Bailey's artwork.  She had painted mittens, made a big snowman out of paper plates, and lots of other fun things.

It was a fun full Friday.  Hope your week is going well.
